The much-anticipated event of 'Claridge’s Christmas tree unveiling' took place Wednesday night, and got everyone into the festive spirit a little more. As per tradition, a designer is in charge of decorating the tree each year (last year being Dolce &Gabbana) and this season Burberry supplied the baubles and glitter. Marking its London heritage and sense for modernity, the British brand had completely covered the 5-meter tall tree in metallic golden and silver umbrellas with an underlying light show that shifted and sparkled. It was a fashionable feast for the eye and feed the thought of adding one of their signature umbrellas to your wish list!

For the celebratory occasion, guests were invited to mingle on the iconic staircase surrounding the Christmas tree while admiring its light show and sipping on champagne. Known faces included Downtown Abbey actress Lily James, singer Ronan Keating, male model David Gandy, model Erin O'Connor and many more.

Naturally, the fabulous event attracted the best dressed in the industry. Stuart Weitzman boots and Fendi accessories made way for Burberry trench coats, Chanel 'Boy' bags and Louis Vuitton's. 'Twist' bags. Only a few people had dared to pull out their fur, as the London temperature has been steadily mild despite being mid November. Maybe even too mild for some of us to cultivate any Christmas feelings at all, but with Burberry and Claridge’s help we are getting there quicker than expected.
